Gladstone offers choices through different community stylesKane County Chronicle Beyond the traditional basics floor plan, price, quality, builder reputation and location what makes a lasting impression on a homebuyer? According to Gladstone Homes' General Sales Manager Vicki Romanski, the answer is the lifestyle options within the community. "It used to be people thought 'location.' Where do I want to live?" Romanski said. "Now they also think 'community.' How do I want to live?" That is why Gladstone Homes offers its floor plans in various types of community settings. Gladstone is among select builders constructing homes at two multi-neighborhood master-planned communities featuring aquatic centers and clubhouses, Eaglecrest at Grande Reserve in Yorkville and Windemere at Grande Park in Plainfield. Romanski expected mostly young families would gravitate toward the clubhouse communities. "In reality, we're finding all kinds of buyers at the clubhouse communities," she said. "Yes, there are a lot of young families, but we also are seeing empty nesters and couples without children, and even singles who are looking for the type of community that brings home owners together in common recreational space." Romanski said the clubhouse communities draw a lot of traffic because they involve multiple builders and offer a kind of "one-stop shopping" where buyers can view and compare several builders in a single visit. This increases exposure to Gladstone and helps drive sales in its own signature communities such as Moose Lakes Estates in North Aurora and Heritage Oaks in Plainfield, where some buyers first discovered Gladstone at Grande Park or Grande Reserve. Among Gladstone's signature communities, Moose Lake Estates offers homesites starting at 14,000 square feet, nearly 18 acres of open space and an on-site playground. Heritage Oaks, where Gladstone offers single-family and town homes, is in its final phase of development nearly a full year ahead of original projections.
